  • After updating firmware, please remove any existing TruTrainer pairings from your Garmin Edge and re-add the trainer using Add Sensor → Indoor Trainer. This ensures the Garmin correctly recognizes the updated firmware and prevents unexpected resistance behavior.
  • If you are using pedal-based power meters alongside SmartLoad, Garmin Edge devices may show inconsistent behavior when multiple power-capable sensors are paired. For best stability, we recommend pairing SmartLoad as the sole power source when using a Garmin Edge, or using a training app (TrainerRoad, Zwift) if power matching to pedals is required.
